Well, I'm not much for anything that goes bump in the night.  I also am a person who believes that there are definitely ghosts or spirits around.  But I don't want to "see dead people" and I certainly don't want to see any evidence of such ghost or spirit.  This is the time of year when many people do want to see and involve themselves with that sort of thing - whether it's real (sort of) or not.  They want to get their spook on.

THERE ARE SOME GREAT HALLOWEEN ATTRACTIONS AROUND THE STATE

There are several great Halloween attractions around the area that are a lot of tun (again, if you are into that sort of thing) and depending on when you start - you could go to all or most of them throughout this month leading up to October 31st.

One of the most popular is the Haunted Ship in Duluth.  Yes, it's a drive up to Duluth, but if you make a weekend of it, it's fun.  And why not?

IT'S THE 31ST YEAR OF THIS SCARY ATTRACTION WITH A NEW THEME

This year marks the 31st year of the Duluth Haunted Ship.  It's open every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday for the rest of the month.  Including MEA Wednesday which is next week.

New this year, if you would rather not do the scary night tours, you can choose to do the "not so scary" daytime tour.  That is available this coming Saturday, October 10th from 1pm to 3pm.  So there is that option.

Forbes Media has rated the Haunted Ship as one of the seven of the world's scariest haunted houses.

This year's theme is the "Captain's Curse".

This October, the Irvin freighter is fraught with the Captain’s Curse, a mystery for attendees to solve. It starts outside, with giant sea-life tendrils reaching up the now Captainless boat, and continues aboard the length of the 610ft ship with crew morphing into various cryptids from its nooks & crannies.
