This is such a bummer.  There have been so many breweries that have closed recently, and it's really a shame.  Here in St. Cloud Back Shed Brewing closed last year.  We have heard about a few of them closing in the metro area, and now another one.

If you have been to Duluth and visited Hoops Brewing, you know what a warm and homey feel that the brewery has.  They really do have some great beer choices as well.  This will be a loss.

So at least you do have a few weeks to get to Duluth and enjoy some of the beer they do have left.  They will have their "last pour" on February 23rd.

HOOPS HAS BEEN A STAPLE IN THE DULUTH AREA FOR A DECADE

They have been open for the last decade, and has been one of the more popular breweries in the area.  If you look at the Instagram comments, you will see that people are really bummed about the closure announcement.

INSTAGRAM VIDEO THANKS EVERYONE, BUT NO ACTUAL REASON FOR THE CLOSURE

In the video above, the founder, Dave Hoops, does thank everyone for making the brewery a success, and a part of the community, and it's with a "heavy heart" that they must close.  He doesn't really give a solid reason as to why they are closing, just that he will miss everything about it, the community and regular customers.

THEY WILL BE OPEN FOR A FEW WEEKS - STOP IN IF GOING TO DULUTH

If you are heading to Duluth any time within the next few weeks, make a stop at Hoops Brewing.  They are currently located at 325 Lake Avenue.

I have been there a few times, and it's always been a good time, so make a plan to go before it closes for good.
