Annual Youth Deer Hunt Scheduled for MEA Weekend

UNDATED (WJON News) -- Once again, the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources is holding a statewide youth deer hunt next week.

Starting on Thursday, October 17th, and going through Sunday, October 20th kids ages 10-to-17 years old can get out and try to bag a white-tailed deer.

Every child is required to have a deer hunting license and abide by the blaze orange/pink clothing requirements.

The special hunt coincides with the long MEA weekend when kids are out of school.

Adults are not allowed to hunt unless they are in an area where early antlerless-only zones are located.
