Director Kendra Norton Dando says the production has generated a lot of excitement since it was announced last spring.

When we announced it in the room, there was a gasp.  There was big excitement from audience members and actors.  We had a huge turnout for auditions.  It's such a gift to see such incredibly talented folks show up.

Les Misérables has a cast of 49 actors, with 40 people on stage each night, and nine roles are doubled. There are over 120 people involved in the production.

Norton Dando says the creative team is working on a big set for the stage.

There's one big massive piece because we go to so many different locations in Les Mis.  The show actually spans 20 years.  We wanted a flexible piece that we can climb on and use for all the different locations of the story.

Les Misérables is set in 19th-century France.

They have 10 performances over three weekends, October 16th through November 1st, at the Paramount Center for the Arts. You can buy your tickets on the GREAT Theatre or Paramount Theater websites.  Discounted tickets are also available on The Value Connection.
