Valleyfair’s Juicy Lucy Festival Showcases Minnesota’s Burger Delight

Burgers and thrill rides on a summer weekend in Minnesota.. what could be better? How about our state's local delicacy, Juicy Lucys?

Shakopee's Valleyfair amusement park is hosting a Jucy Lucy Festival over two weekends on July 12-13 and 19-20, 2025. The festival will include several variations on the Minnesota classic, which feature cheese-filled burger patties with various toppings.

The Classic Lucy will join the Minnesota Sushi Lucy (packed with cream cheese, topped with dill pickles and bacon and served with dill ranch); Sophie's Lucy (stuffed with American cheese, topped with fried onions and smothered in beer cheese- served in a pretzel bun); One Swine Lucy (stuffed with ghost pepper cheese, topped with bacon jam and onion straws and finished with a BBQ sauce); Creamy Cheesy Cherry Lucy (stuffed with cream cheese, topped with cherry chutney) and Miss Lucy Jo (ghost pepper cheese, topped with jalapenos and more ghost pepper cheese, finished with sriracha sauce).

“We’re thrilled to bring this iconic Minnesota classic to the ultimate summer destination this season,” said Valleyfair Regional General Manager John Krajnak in a press release. “The Juicy Lucy Festival adds new flavor to our already exciting lineup of summer events, giving guests something to look forward to from now until Labor Day.”

Valleyfair will also host Latin Days from August 2-3 and Corn Fest (weekends) from August 16th through September 1st.
