Lake of the Woods Teams up with Key West for Fishing Trip Giveaway
The northernmost point of the contiguous United States and southernmost part have teamed up for a fishing trip giveaway valued at $5,000.
Lake of the Woods, Minnesota -- the northernmost point of the Lower 48 -- has teamed up with Florida Keys & Key West -- the southernmost point -- for a fishing trip giveaway.
"Lake of the Woods in Minnesota and Key West, Florida are very different, but also have a lot in common," the contest website reads. "Anglers can enter to win a two-destination vacation to fish freshwater and saltwater species in the 'Northernmost to Southernmost Fishing Trip Giveaway' that spotlights recreational angling in Lake of the Woods, Minnesota, and the Florida Keys."
"Both locales are characterized by islands, world-class fishing and concentrations of professional charter guides and captains ready to share their knowledge of local waters, species and angling techniques."
The contest -- which kicked off Wednesday -- is part of a month-long campaign to highlight both destinations.
The Grand Prize includes a three night stay at Flag Island Resort in Lake of the Woods, two night stay at Hyatt Centric Key West in the Florida Keys, custom fishing charters with guides in both destinations, fishing lures as well as gift cards for airfare and car rental.
