There are times when you go out to eat and it's just too much.  I have found the last couple of times that I have gone out to eat I have wound up bringing a giant portion of my food home.  And sometimes I can't even finish the meal the second time!  Like it probably would have been good for 3 meals, or for at least 2 people to share.

There are some really great restaurants around Central Minnesota, and they all have their little quirks or something that is their claim to fame.

CHAIN RESTAURANTS

Olive Garden - a chain restaurant has been around for quite awhile.  They are based out of Orlando, Florida with parent company is Darden Restaurants.  They are located all over the United States and also have other chain restaurants such as LongHorn Steakhouse, Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen, Yard House, Ruth's Chris Steak House, The Capital Grille, Seasons 52, Eddie V's, Bahama Breeze, The Capital Burger, and Chuy's.  Since these are chain restaurants, not totally my favorite.  But they can be good in a pinch.

Olive Garden (even though not usually my go-to) but they do have the unlimited salad and bread sticks deal and lots of people like that.  But now they have something else too.  They are offering smaller portions for a lower price.  So if you aren't that hungry, and you also are working with a budget, this might be a great idea for you.  This deal is available for either lunch or dinner.

LIGHTER MENU

This lighter menu is being tested in 40% of the Olive Garden restaurants across the country, and St. Cloud is one of those locations.  This is just a test, and if it goes well, then they will implement that on a more permanent basis and throughout the rest of their locations.

So, if you don't mind a chain restaurant, and you want a smaller portion for a lesser price, you might want to try this out.
