Local Veterans Organization ‘Tending For a Cause’ This Wednesday
A local organization supporting veterans, Shoot For the Troops, will be Tending for a Cause at Beaver Island Brewing on July 22nd. In addition to raising funds through the bartending, they will also be doing a giveaway for a Yeti 45 prize package.
Beaver Island Brewing will be donating $1 per pint and $4 per growler purchased between 5-7 pm that night, plus the tips to the organization.
Shoot for the Troops is a non-profit organization whose mission is to support active military, veterans, and their families deployed or stateside who are in need of resources due to economic or special hardships. Shoot for the Troops hosts a trap shoot event annually to raise funds for military families in central Minnesota. The majority of the money raised from this Shoot for the Troops event has gone to support military families that are in need of a little extra help during times of financial hardship.
I got involved with this organization last summer when I was asked to emcee their annual trap shooting fundraiser at LeBlanc's Rice Creek in Little Falls. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this event isn't happening this year and fundraising efforts are being shifted to events that can happen, like this Tending for a Cause event.
