It seems like some things are always under some sort of contruction.  Two of the big things are MSP Airport - terminal 1 and also almost any hospital in the state of Minnesota.  I get that there needs to be improvements, especially when it comes to the hospital, but the airport is always under construction too.

I just flew out of Terminal 1 last week.  And, by the way, when did that become Terminal 1 instead of the Lindbergh?  And Terminal 2 instead of the Humphrey (HHH Terminal)?  Maybe it's been a long time and I just was't paying attention. Totally possible.  But anyway, one of the runways is totally shut down.  And it's been like that for quite awhile.  Plus, they took out a couple of the walk/stand aisles.  Why?  That was very nicee instead of having to hoof it all the way down to Gate 72D, or whatever.  Maybe those are coming back, but right now, you're hoofing it yourself.

They have been working on Terminal 1 for a decade.  A DECADE!!  And they are about done.  Apparently some of the improvements have to do with making the flight and experience as easy and enjoyable as possible.  And don't get me wrong, I have been in some awful airports (Newark comes to mind).  MSP is very nice.  One of the nicest along with Atlanta.  Here are some of the improvements they have done, according to Bring Me the News.

In total, it's the culmination of 20 separate projects that have expanded Terminal 1 by 17,000 square feet, consolidated security screening, modernized ticketing counters, added larger baggage carousels, increased restroom capacity, and updated design elements.

The projects also had an eye on sustainability, adding automated glass tinting, LED lighting, low-flow toilets, and other efficiency upgrades.

I enjoy having more room.  And also having the bathrooms bigger, especially when you are carrying a bunch of luggage is nice.  But I don't really care about tinting windows or the low flow toilets.  Why??  Unless, of course, they are going to help with the cost of tickets.  The extra ticketing kiosks are nice too, especially if you are just doing a carry-on.  But anything else, you still have to go up to the ticket counter to have your baggage weighed.

Anyway, I'm just having issues because I just flew out somewhere, but mostly I think that the Minneapolis/St Paul airport is very nice and comfortable.  What would be some improvements that you think they are missing?
