If being in the broadcast industry is something that you or a student you know is considering getting into, then you might want to check out this scholarship.

The Minnesota Broadcasters Association is extending the deadline to Minnesota High School Juniors and Seniors to apply for their scholarship to help with post-secondary education with an emphasis or major in mass communications, marketing, engineering/technical, video/audio production, editing, or another broadcast field.

Applicants will need to email basic information like name and address, along with a resume, cover letter with details on choosing a broadcasting career and intentions for the scholarship money, links to video or audio samples, volunteer or community service involvement, and a letter of recommendation from a school counselor, school faculty, coach, activities coach or professional contact.

The application deadline has been extended to May 31st and applicants can send all the information to scholarship@minnesotabroadcasters.com. The scholarship winner or winners will be announced in June. And the winner(s) will be invited to the MBA Annual Membership Meeting which happens October 5th - 6th.
