Are you a car lover? Do you enjoy traveling back in time to an era when cars were still a relatively new invention? A fun and unique event is coming to Minnesota from July 21st through July 25th that you might want to put on your planner right now.

The Model T Ford Club International, Inc. will be hosting its 68th tour, featuring over 200 Model T cars at the event. So far this year, there are 218 cars registered to participate in the event. Over 500 guests of all different ages from the United States and internationally will be part of the tour.

THE MODEL T TOUR

Where is the tour happening?  It's just a fun road trip away to southern Minnesota in Owatonna.  Owantonna is excited about it too. They are having three super fun local events happening along with the tour, so you can have a full weekend of fun for the whole family.

ENJOY LOCAL EVENTS

There's no need for you to get a babysitter for this fun event, because there are three local events coinciding with the tour. There will be a fashion show happening at the Village of Yesteryear. a car show happening at Mineral Springs Park and Downtown on Thursday.

DOWNTOWN THURSDAY

Downtown Thursday is the place to be for some FREE family fun. Thursday, July 3rd, there will be face painting, caricatures, balloon creations, glitter tattoos, rides on Teo's train, and lots of bounce house fun.

The Model Ts will be taking daily car tours. They will leave from Owatonna each day and visit many locations, including the following:

  • Mankato
  • Faribault
  • Northfield
  • Mantorville
  • Zumbrota

The Australian 80s/90s pop band Crowded House brought their Gravity Stairs Tour to celebrate the release of their 8th studio album by the same name to Waite Park. Lead singer Neil Finn's son, Liam opened the show with his solo work and then joined the band later. The photo gallery below captures the fun of the night.
