Minnesota’s Favorite Rom-Com Is…

It's Valentine's Day evening and maybe you and your significant other are thinking of watching a romantic comedy tonight. After all, they are good movies for couples to watch on an occasion such as this. They deliver both romance  - the ladies dig that...as well as comedy - which appeals to us guys.

And before you jumped down my shh...stuff, I know they are not mutually exclusive.  Lots of women love comedy and some men can be romantic...sometimes.

My wife and I are not big Rom-com people, but we do enjoy a few like "Something About Mary", "When Harry Met Sally", "Forget Paris", "The Wedding Singer", "Never Been Kissed" and "50 First Dates" - wow, we seem to like Adam Sandler/Drew Barrymore and Billy Crystal movies...I never noticed that pattern before.

House Method wanted to find out what each states favorite Rom-com is. They surveyed 4,629 Americans and they discovered that Minnesota's most popular is...

'The 40-year Old Virgin"

That's not surprising. It's a good movie. It's also the top Rom-com for 19 states...that's 38 percent. The second favorite is "Bridesmaids", with 11 states picking that.

Here's the state count:

• “13 Going on 30” - four states
• “500 Days of Summer” - four states
• “Wedding Crashers” - three states
• “My Big Fat Greek Wedding” - two states
