For whatever reason, when I think of a 'romantic' restaurant on Valentine's Day, my mind immediately goes to seafood. I have no data to back this up, it's just the way my brain works I guess.

However, seafood is not on the top of Minnesota-based lovers' wish lists when it comes to picking a restaurant on Valentine's Day. According to Google Trends search data shared by The Matchmaking Company, folks in the Land Of 10,000 Lakes would prefer a burger joint, thanks.

When looking at the results for all 50 states, seafood didn't even make the cut! The most popular searches included Italian restaurants and steakhouses, with Mexican restaurants coming in right behind the two leaders.

In fact, Minnesota is one of just two states in the country looking for beef relief on V-day, along with Utah!

Another aspect of the study sought to find out which cities had the most, and fewest, restaurants available for Valentine's Day reservations.

San Jose, California is the 'easiest' city to get a reservation with 33.19 restaurants per 100,000 residents. Minneapolis is the fourth-hardest with just 4.25 restaurants per 100,000 residents.
