MN Brewery Kicks Pumpkin Spice, Offers Sweet Potato Spice Beer Instead
Finally, something to drink this fall other than pumpkin spice!
Whether we like it or not, fall means pumpkin spice. Or, maybe it's actually the other way around -- pumpkin spice means fall.
It seems that pumpkin spice flavors show up earlier and earlier each year. Last week, the infamous Pumpkin Spice Latte (#PSL if you're into social media) became available at Starbucks, and this week Dairy Queen began offering their Pumpkin Spice Blizzard. From here, we can only expect a full on-onslaught of all things pumpkin spice.
Or maybe not.
One Minnesota brewery is giving the middle finger...or, at least a very beer-y shake -- to pumpkin spice with their own rebellious fall drink -- #SPSMS.
Inbound Brewing Co. in Minneapolis is offering a Sweet Potato Spiced Milk Stout. Personally, I wouldn't touch a pumpkin spice beer with a ten foot pole, but this sounds intriguing enough to at least try.
In an online post, Inbound describes the beer as: "a super limited brew infused with roasted sweet potatoes, allspice, and nutmeg."
Step aside, pumpkin spice, there's a new kid on the block this fall!
Inbound Brewing Co. is located at 701 N 5th St, Minneapolis, Minnesota.
