I have to start this by confessing that I am not much of a Christmas music fan. The reason is because I worked at an Adult Contemporary radio station for years and like most AC stations, we always started playing Christmas music in early November.

The combination of two straight months of non-stop Christmas music on the station,  along with the fact that you would hear it everywhere else I would go was too much for me and I eventually started to enjoy Christmas music less and less.

That being said, it's not like I don't like Christmas at all or never listen to it anymore. I certainly listen on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. And I still have a some favorites that I've never gotten sick of.

So here are my top 5 favorite Christmas songs. Check and see if some of yours are on this list. And whenever you're in the holiday music mood, check out The River Christmas Channel.

#5) "12 Days Of Christmas" - Bob and Doug McKenzie
I'm a fan of this comedy duo and a fan of this song. When you need a laugh during the holidays, this will do it.

#4) "Merry Christmas Darling" - The Carpenters
It's such a beautiful song and Karen Carpenters voice is pleasing to listen to.

#3) "All I Want For Christmas Is You" - Vince Vance & The Valiants
I admit it, I like this better than the Mariah Carey song of the same name.

#2) The Christmas Song" - Nate King Cole
I think Nate King Cole has one of the most soothing voices ever. This song relaxes me when the holidays get stressful.

#1) "Last Christmas" - Wham
It's uptempo but yet has a relaxed vibe to it and I've always loved George Michael's voice.
