A new website and accompanying Facebook page connects Minnesota shoppers with Minnesota small businesses this holiday season.

A new Facebook page titled We Make It MN was just created Friday, November 27 and exists to "support small businesses in Minnesota by connecting shoppers with local creators and sellers."

"In the short time that I've been working on the website," says the page's creator Amy Glade, "I've already discovered some pretty amazing things from people in our communities...and I can't wait for you to discover them too!" The inspiration came from an eagerness to support local Minnesota creators and sellers, especially during the holidays.

While the page's posts so far are mostly introductory in nature, there is a link to a website wemakeitmn.com from which people can shop by categories such as Apparel, Art, Baked Goods, Farm Fresh Foods, Furniture, Holiday Decor & Gifts, Jewelry, Wellness & Health and more. To date, there are about 25 sellers featured on the website, which Glade anticipates growing quickly as word spreads. For those small business owners interested in being featured on the website, information can be added for consideration here. So far the Facebook page only has 233 Likes, though reception so far has been positive and word spreading through Shares.

Check out We Make It MN on Facebook here and the website here, and consider supporting local this holiday season!
