COLD SPRING (WJON News) - An at-home women's clothing business has moved into its own store front.

Owner Lori Ruhland started Cinder Boutique out of her home in Cold Spring over two years ago. She says the last year really drove her from operating as an online only business to having a physical location.

The last year I did pop-up shops at breweries and coffee shops and it was clear that people wanted to shop in person.

Ruhland says she wanted the business to stay local and found space inside the Cold Spring Business Center next to the Blue Heron.

She says they got to create the space the way they wanted.

It had to be completely turned into the space we wanted. Just through a lot of planning and demo work it turned into a beautiful space.

Ruhland says this has been a learning curve as the business has evolved in recent years.

Pop-up shops are a lot of work but yet simple. However a store front is a bigger space and you need to decided if you have enough inventory, a checkout system, hiring employees. It's been a lot but I've learned so much and I'm excited for this.

Ruhland says for the first year they plan to be open Thursday through Saturday, with expectations to expand their hours as they get more comfortable in their new space.

Cinder Boutique is holding a Grand Opening on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
