It's October, which usually means that it's chilly out.  And now, it's getting a little more that way.  At least more seasonal than it has been the last few weeks including the weekend that the Ledge had their Flannel Fest.  It was 90 degrees!  No one wants to wear a flannel in that kind of weather.  I did see some people trying to get into the spirit of the occasion with flannels either tied around their waist, or wearing one with the sleeves cut off - like Larry the Cable Guy.

I have been to that event in other years when it's been so chilly you better have a flannel shacket.  Absolutely not the case this year.

A DIFFERNT FLANNEL FEST

Now, there is another Flannel Fest happening next weekend, October 18th.  This time it's at Pantown Brewing.  Pantown is located off of 3rd street near Short Stop.  This event goes from noon until 10pm.

Their annual celebration of cozy vibes and craft beer returns soon, and you won’t want to miss it. They’ll have food trucks rolling in, live music setting the mood, your favorite brews on tap, plus some brand-new beer releases making their debut. Save the date and start dusting off your favorite flannel!

GREAT BEER CHOICES

Personally, I really do like Pantown's beverages.  They have a nice mix of regular beers, IPAs, sours, and a couple of seltzers.  Perfect for whatever type of taste you are in the mood for.  Plus, this event is inside.  Well, they do have outdoor seating as well, but for the most part there is indoor seating.  They also have plenty of games and fun things to do while you are enjoying their beverages.

MARK YOUR CALENDAR

Grab your friends and head out to Pantown Brewing Company next Saturday, the 18th for Flannel Fest.

LOOK: Best Beers From Every State

To find the best beer in each state and Washington D.C., Stacker analyzed January 2020 data from BeerAdvocate, a website that gathers user scores for beer in real-time. BeerAdvocate makes its determinations by compiling consumer ratings for all 50 states and Washington D.C. and applying a weighted rank to each. The weighted rank pulls the beer toward the list's average based on the number of ratings it has and aims to allow lesser-known beers to increase in rank. Only beers with at least 10 rankings to be considered; we took it a step further to only include beers with at least 100 user rankings in our gallery. Keep reading to find out what the best beer is in each of the 50 states and Washington D.C.
