Popular Breakfast Item Recalled in Iowa, Minnesota
A potentially dangerous omission from the labeling of a popular breakfast food has led to a recall in Iowa, Minnesota, and nine other states.
Quaker Oats is recalling certain two-pound boxes of its Pearl Milling Company Original Pancake and Waffle Mix due to the presence of unlabeled allergens, in this case, milk, which is not indicated on the packaging.
The impacted boxes were sold in 32-ounce boxes and have a UPC of 30000 65040. You may also identify the product by its code date, which is BBD SEP 13 25 P.
The products were sold in Iowa and Minnesota, as well as Arkansas, Illinois, Kansas, Indiana, Kentucky Mississippi, Nebraska, Wisconsin, and Utah, starting on November 18, 2024. No other products under the brand's label have been impacted by this recall.

According to the Food and Drug Administration, those who have milk allergies or are otherwise sensitive to milk, should not use the affected products. Consumers are advised to dispose of the products immediately.
If you would like to contact Quaker Oats with any questions or inquiries regarding this recall, you can call Quaker Consumer Relations at 1-800-407-2247. The line is open Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM CST.
