What factors do you think of when you hear the term 'quality of life?'

Health, safety, affordability, employment opportunities and education are all important factors, as are environmental factors and demographics.

Using those metrics among a group of over 50 categories, LawnStarter ranked the top 500 United States cities for quality of life.

MINNESOTA CITIES 

Minnesota cities to make the rankings included Duluth (120), St. Paul (102), Brooklyn Park (97), Minneapolis (72), Bloomington (51) and Rochester (17th).

Outside of those respectable results, two Minnesota cities placed in the top three of the entire country.

PLYMOUTH 

Plymouth finished third in the US thanks in large part to its eighth-place finish in economic stability, 37th-place finish in healthcare access and 44th-place ranking in safety.

LawnStarter notes that Plymouth is home to over 54,000 jobs and boasts Minnesota's fourth-largest economy by business sales to go along with a 'first rate park system.'

WOODBURY

Woodbury finished second overall in the study thanks to a third-place ranking in economic stability and a 26th-place ranking in education.

Woodbury is Minnesota's eighth-largest city and is home to employers like 3M, Summit Orthopedics and HealthPartners.

ST. CLOUD 

St. Cloud, Minnesota did not finish within the top 500 cities ranked by LawnStarter. 

WHO IS #1?

Newton, Massachusetts finished in the top spot overall with a #1 ranking in education, #4 in safety, #6 in healthcare access and #7 in economic stability.
