AMI Auctions of St. Joe, which has been in business for 20 years, has done live auctions in the past, but since the pandemic, the company hasn't participated in live, in-person auctions. AMI Auctions isn't your typical auction house either. They don't do farm or estate auctions, AMI specializes in more of the niche type auctions.

For example, one past auction featured 100s of wedding dresses! That had to be a different experience for both the AMI Auction team and those in attendance.

The upcoming auction on October 5th, will have more than 400 laundry and kitchen appliances up for bid, and these are NOT scratch and dents. It's brand new appliances that are taking up space, so they HAVE TO GO.

What's fun about auctions is you might score a deal on something that you've been looking for, but then again if it's something everyone wants, it's the person with the most cash in their pocket that takes it home.

You can learn more about the auction, closer to October, by visiting the AMI Auction website, there they will have specific details on what will be auctioned off, so keep your eyes peeled and your bidding number arm in shape!

LOOK: Here are the 50 best beach towns in America

Every beach town has its share of pluses and minuses, which got us thinking about what makes a beach town the best one to live in. To find out, Stacker consulted data from WalletHub, released June 17, 2020, that compares U.S. beach towns. Ratings are based on six categories: affordability, weather, safety, economy, education and health, and quality of life. The cities ranged in population from 10,000 to 150,000, but they had to have at least one local beach listed on TripAdvisor. Read the full methodology here. From those rankings, we selected the top 50. Readers who live in California and Florida will be unsurprised to learn that many of towns featured here are in one of those two states.

Keep reading to see if your favorite beach town made the cut.
