In this day and age, it seems that we all want that instant gratification.  We have zero patience as a society, and the faster something happens, usually the better. If we could have our coffee at a coffee shop ready before we have a chance to finish paying that would be the best.  Or our food order done and delivered within minutes would be awesome too.  I know this is unrealistic, but that's almost to the place we are at.  No one seems to take the time to just sit and enjoy the moment.

This might be the reason for this, now retro, device coming back into play more and more often.

The disposable camera.

Many more people, mostly of the Millennial generation and Gen Z are using disposable cameras instead of taking pictures with their smart phones.  They say that it keeps them more present, and they like the surprise of not necessarily knowing how the photo turned out.  They also like the feeling of not remembering exactly which photos are on the camera until after they have been developed.  It's like "Christmas morning" when you open your gifts.

Their simple, analog charm offers a fun, nostalgic change of pace from digital cameras and smartphones, making them an ideal gateway for Millennials and Gen Z to explore film photography.

That might be fun again at weddings.  A trend from before where there was a disposable camera on each table and then the couple could develop the pictures from their big day and have fun just looking and reliving the day through other people's eyes.

My question - where do you develop them?  There used to be photo drop off locations almost everywhere.  Now, you do have to search a bit more.

I checked where the places are in the St Cloud area to get disposable camera film developed and found these:

CVS on Division Street

The Camera Shop on 7th Avenue

There are a few other camera and film shops.  It's best to call ahead and ask if they develop disposable camera film.  Chances are they will, but always best to check first.

Live in the moment, try a disposable camera again.
