Since moving back home to Minnesota, my wife and I have been slowly checking off our list of things we think our kids should see, as well as the things we never got around to seeing while growing up here. The list is quite extensive.

We’re big fans of fish aquariums, so one of the things on our list was Sea Life at Mall of America. We were planning on doing it this past spring, but COVID shot that plan down. Now, we can make that plan happen. Sea Life at Mall of America will reopen Friday at 11 AM.

So if you’ve been dying to get the kids out of the house, go check out the sharks, sea turtles, and the 300-foot ocean tunnel. Naturally, you’ll be encouraged to practice social distancing, and you’ll notice social distancing signage throughout the facility. As far as the staff goes, they will be wearing masks and doing extra cleaning. Extra hand sanitizing stations will be available.

“The health of our guests, staff, and sea creatures is of utmost importance. We are taking proactive steps to provide visitors with a safe, comfortable environment when we welcome them back to SEA LIFE at Mall of America again. After weeks spent social distancing, we hope to provide our fans with a day of togetherness, learning, memories, and wonder.” - Trisha Ruf (General Manager of SEA LIFE / Mall of America)
