In addition to those splash pads that will be open every day all summer long, the Parks and Rec team has announced a 'pop-up' splash pad event that is set to feature two toddler favorites: water to play in and big, emergency vehicles.

Despite me not absolutely loving the pizza, I had a good experience. The online ordering was easy, the pick-up window was a nice convenience, the staff was super friendly and the pie came out hot and on time.

It's always weird to go back to your hometown and see how much has changed since your last visit, but there are always some major landmarks that stand the test of time and make you feel like you are home again. It's hard getting used to seeing less and less of them as time goes on.

While St. Cloud may not have a municipal pool for folks to swim in, there are a number of fun and expansive splash pads in the area for kids to cool off during the hot summer months. Two of those splash pads will open today (Tuesday), with temperatures expected to sneak into the 80's under sunny skies.

This past weekend was the fishing opener and for the most part the traffic- heading north on Friday and south on Sunday- was smooth sailing. Until you got to Royalton that is.
