Smashing Pumpkins Make Tracks For Minnesota
I just so happen to be 90s kid. I think I speak for all of us 90s baby’s when I say I love the nostalgia of that decade. Everything from the raggedy plad shirts to the television shows. But above all else, the greatest thing about the 90s was the music.
The “grunge” scene was one of the most iconic music movements in recent history. I love all those bands – Nirvana, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, Alice In Chains, and especially the mighty TOOL. One of the 90s groups that often lives in the shadow of its more successful peers is Smashing Pumpkins.
They aren’t as gritty as some of the other bands from that era, but they definitely have their own melancholy, moody sound – which is why I love them. In my opinion, Billy Corgan is one of the best songwriters of that movement.
He’s one of a kind. If you dig Smashing Pumpkins as much as I do then you’ll be thrilled to hear that they’re playing the Xcel Energy Center on August 19. The show starts at 7 pm and you can get a ticket online now for a little as $25.
