Yes, I know, we've heard this one before.  Another Chicken restaurant coming to Minnesota.  But this time it is really a different restaurant.  Well, it's still chicken. This time it is Chicken Salad Chick.

WHAT IS CHICKEN SALAD CHICK

This is a restaurant based out of Alabama and is making the move into the Upper Midwest.  They focus on Southern chicken salad.  But they also have several other things available. Soups, sandwiches, and more salads - other then their signature chicken salad.  They also have some great desserts.

There are several new franchise restaurants coming to the greater Minneapolis area.  10 new Chicken Salad Chick are expected to open within the next few months/years.

MINNESOTA BASKETBALL FAMILY BRINGS RESTAURANT TO UPPER MIDWEST

The Coffey family – Richard and Sheba, and their children Sydney, Nia, and Amir – have each contributed to state championship teams and received national accolades, in addition to their recognized philanthropic efforts.

Richard Coffey played for the University of Minnesota, and then went on to play for the Minnesota Timberwolves.  His son Amir also played for the U of M and now plays professionally for the LA Clippers, and daughter Nia is playing her 9th season in the WNBA.

FROM THEIR PRESS RELEASE

"We knew we wanted to go into business with a brand that we could all get behind," said Richard Coffey. "Chicken Salad Chick stood out because of the support and communication we've received from the team. This is more than a business venture, it's a family journey, and we're excited to do it with a brand that feels the same way."

Apparently this particular chicken restaurant, yes, I'm also saying it's another chicken restaurant, but with a twist, has been considered as one of the best.  They have been recognized as QSR magazine's best franchise deals for 4 years.

Chicken Salad Chick has 255 restaurants in 18 states, and now moving into the Upper Midwest.
