My vinyl loving heart breaks hearing this. Uff-Da Records in St. Cloud will be closing up shop in July of 2020.

I am a fiend for vinyl and have been working on my personal collection since 2014. I fell in love with classic country, but along the way I really started focusing on growing my classic rock collection.

The vinyl collecting trend has really grown in the past five years, and a lot of bands are issuing re-prints of their classics, but I try to keep my own collection to the originals. Plus my turntable isn't real great at playing new records. So if I want something, it forces me out into the world to find it. I see it as a treasure hunt.

Uff-Da was a great place to find those hidden gems. I found a Ted Nugent's self titled album from 1975 there that I had been looking for for a hot minute. The record store wasn't a place I got to a lot, but when I had a free day to go record hunting, it was always my first stop.

I fully intend to make it in a few more times before they close up shop for good. You just never know what you're going to find, and I want to make sure I pick up a few of those good Uff-Da gems while I still can.

Uff-Da Records is open in St. Cloud by Bravo Burritos Mon- Thurs. 11 am - 6 pm and Friday - Saturday 11 am - 7 pm.
