Central Minnesota Fall Festival Dealing With Theft, Vandalism This Fall

One of Central Minnesota's favorite fall hot-spots is dealing with an unfortunate spate of theft and vandalism at its fall festival. Despite hundreds of people already showing up and having a fun day at the farm this year, a few bad apples are threatening to ruin it for the whole bunch.

Stoney Brook Farms in Foley took to Facebook this weekend to post about an unfortunate vandalism incident that took place recently. In this incident, the farm's new basketball hoop game was destroyed by people "taking the basketballs and pounding the top of the hoops repeatedly."

While pointing out that each of the hoops will cost $35 to replace, the farm's social media adds that they 'don't think they even want to replace them if this is how people treat their event and activities.'

PARENTAL GUIDANCE REQUIRED

Stoney Brook Farms' Facebook was active last week as well when they asked parents to please keep an eye on their children after seeing 'more theft and vandalism than they have experienced in the entire last two years' in their first three days being open this season.

The farm added that they had more children become lost in one day than they have had in their last five years.

Our rules are in place for a reason.

They are there for the safety of your children, our staff and everyone visiting the maze.

Safety is a priority here, and that means parents and guardians need to be present and actively supervising their children at all times.

If your children are found repeatedly running around unsupervised, you may be asked to leave the property without a refund.

We also ask that you do not send your children into the corn maze without a phone, maze map or some other way to contact you or get help if they become lost. They should not be in the maze alone to begin with!
