1980's hitmakers Stray Cats will make an appearance this summer at The Ledge Amphitheater in Waite Park. Tickets for the August 9th show will go on sale this Friday at 10 a.m..

Stray Cats was formed by Brian Setzer, Lee Rocker and Slim Jim Phantom in Long Island in 1979. With a sound based on the rock and roll pioneers of the 1950's, Stray Cats has sold over 10 million albums worldwide while racking up 23 gold and platinum records.

"Rock This Town" was the group's breakthrough single. Released in 1981, the song went to #9 on the U.S. chart and was certified Gold.

Later that year the group's "Stray Cat Strut" reached #3 on the singles chart.

The song "(She's) Sexy + 17" also went high up the charts, peaking at #5 in 1983.

Tickets for the show go on sale Friday morning at 10 a.m..

The 2024 summer concert season at the Ledge begins on June 6th with A Day To Remember and continues with an all-time rock great in Buddy Guy on June 7th.

In July, the Beach Boys will take the stage at The Ledge for the second time. The band also played the venue in the inaugural 2021 season. The show is set for July 10th.

Three Dog Night will team up with Little River Band for a show on Friday, July 19th, while Jason Mraz plays in Waite Park the next night on his "Mystical Magical Rhythymical Radical Ride" tour.

A cappella group Straight No Chaser is set to play on July 23rd, followed by Primus with Coheed and Cambria on Friday, July 26th.

On Thursday, August 1st Jewel will pair with Melissa Etheridge. The last show on the calendar (so far) is YES Epics featuring Jon Anderson plus the return of Emerson, Lake and Palmer.
