Following the overwhelming response to Pantown Brewing's Free Beer For Healthcare Workers event a couple weeks ago, the St. Cloud brewery is rallying the community for another great cause.

As various events around Central Minnesota continue to be cancelled due to the COVID-19 virus, one event will carry on as scheduled. Pantown Brewing took to Facebook Monday to share that the Battle for More Tomorrow's Cystic Fibrosis Fundraiser scheduled for this Wednesday, April 22 will still go on, albeit in a different manner.

In a video shared to Pantown Brewing's Facebook page, owners Marty Czech and Noel Johnson shared why it's important to them that they continue with events like this during the present economic crisis:

"One of the basic tenants of our business from the day we opened our doors was to have events and support the community through charitable initiatives. That's why we created our monthly Beeranthropy events," says Czech.

"Obviously, those [events] have changed, and so when Marty and I were talking, we really felt that we don't want to lose out on the things that we've done over time with those events," adds Johnson. "And we want to still have that Beeranthropy event. We can still do that -- we don't need a taproom to do that."

So, they say, the show (or at least fundraiser) will go on! The pair are inviting people out to Pantown Brewing Wednesday between 4:00-10:00pm where 25% of all purchases (beer-to-go, gift cards and merchandise) and 50% of all tips (donated voluntarily by the wait staff) will go to support the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. In lieu of the scheduled entertainment, Czech and Johnson have promised to host an hour-long Facebook Live from 6-7pm that evening for anyone to interact with them as well. Finally, the pair are asking locals to do a couple things to make this a great event: (1) share the event (here) on Facebook and social media and (2) wait or plan to order beer-to-go on Wednesday when a portion of sales goes back to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

About two weeks ago, Pantown Brewing saw an overwhelming response to their Free Beer for Healthcare Workers event, giving away around 400 crowlers of beer to local healthcare workers.
