The Foley baseball team is making their 2nd straight Class 2-A State Tournament appearance this week when they play Zumbrota-Mazeppa at Dick Putz Field in St. Cloud at 5:30 p.m. Thursday.

Foley lost 4-3 to Winona Cotter Wednesday in the Class A 5th place (consolation championship) match at the Reed Sweatt Tennis Center in Minneapolis.

Foley boys tennis will participate in the Class A state tournament today against Breck at noon at the Reed Sweatt Tennis Center in Minneapolis. Breck is seeded 2nd while Foley is unseeded.

3rd seeded Foley was upset by unseeded Perham 7-4 Tuesday afternoon at Dick Putz Field in the Class 2-A State Baseball Tournament quarterfinals. The Falcons will play today at 10:00 a.m. against Belle Plaine at Orthopedic Sports Field in Sartell in the consolation semifinals.

Foley defeated Eden Valley-Watkins twice Thursday to capture the Section 6-2-A baseball title. The Falcons defeated top seeded Eden Valley-Watkins 6-3 and 6-4 at Dick Putz Field.

The Little Falls baseball team needed two wins Wednesday to capture the section 8-3-A title and that's exactly what they got. The Flyers downed Rocori 6-1 in the first game at Dick Putz Field in St. Cloud and then defeated the Spartans 13-9 in game two to captures the section championship.

The Sartell-St. Stephen baseball team has advanced to the section 8-4-A after posting a 11-7 win over Rogers in Rogers Tuesday. The Sabres scored 4 runs in the 7th inning to break a 7-all tie. Dylan Simones went 2-3 with 2 runs scored and 3 RBI, and Kade Lewis went 2-5 with 3 RBI.

Foley Fun Days announced the entertainment for this year's celebration, which is entitled Denim and Diamonds.
