Richmond, Minnesota is a town of 1,422 people southwest of St. Cloud on Highway 23. The community was settled in the 1850s, platted in 1856 and incorporated in 1890. Richmond has many lakes in the area including the horseshoe chain of lakes.

Not forgetting their roots, A&W uses National Root Beer Float Day to collect donations for the DAV organization (Disabled American Veterans).
