In early April, I was in the Sauk Centre area covering a story about the new iPic Selfie Studio that just opened in town. It is a super cool place, and as I was leaving town, I noticed a few other cool things: Main Street has a bunch of murals.

I grew up 20 mintues from Sauk Centre going there all the time to see movies and shop at Walmart, but it has been a while since I spent a significant amount of time in the town. I noticed the Main Street Mural on that rainy day in April, and made a mental note to come back this summer to take photos when the weather was better.

I finally made it back to take those photos, and in the process ended up finding more than just the Main Street Mural. There is a huge one by the library, a patriotic one on the American Legion, a portair of Sinclair Lewis on the Palmer House, and the bandshell in the park has a stunning 3D mural dedicated to music. All these stunning murals were done by muralist Roger Reinardy with the help of other talented artists. They are a beautiful pop of color to the Main Street area, and I'm so glad I took the time to see them for myself. If you can't make it to Sauk Centre any time soon to see it, scroll to take a virtual tour of them below.
