I don’t know about you, but in order to get my creative juices flowing I need a nice refreshing beverage. Sometimes its caffeinated and sometimes its alcoholic, but either way it gets my blood pumping and makes my scattered fragmented psyche more focused. Today I’d like to share with you my favorite places in St. Cloud to grab a quick drink.

  1. Vivi’s Bubble Tea

I just discovered this place about a week ago and I am absolutely addicted to their drinks. This Japanese influenced shop offers the neatest tea I’ve ever seen. You get to choose the flavor of your tea (and there’s literally like 50) and then they put toppings in your drink. Yes, I said toppings. They have foods such as pudding, beans, and berries that are condensed into miniature eatable beads and blocks that really complement the flavor of your tea. It’s a neat little place. Their Choco-berry Milk is a personal favorite.

  1. The Martini Lounge

The Martini Lounge reminds of a place that Bruce Wayne would throw one of his famous parties for millionaires when he wasn’t busy fighting crime. The environment of place is as awesome as their beverages. It’s filled with fancy furniture and ornaments, complete a chandeliers and a cozy fireplace. This is by far my favorite place in town to grab an alcoholic beverage. I happen to be a big fan of martinis, the ones here are second to none. I highly recommend the red velvet martini.

3. Caribou Coffee                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      As someone who stays up until midnight and wakes up at 4 am, I seriously value my caffeine intake. I get home from work around 6 in the evening and play guitar and write until midnight, and then I wake up at 4 in the morning to do my vocal exercises until I go to work at 10. I don’t have a lot of downtime so keeping myself awake is pretty important. Not to mention, I just love the taste of coffee anyway. My favorite coffee shop in town is Caribou Coffee. I used to be a Starbucks man, but over the past year or so I’ve made the transition to Caribou. I think their flavors are far superior. The staff here is super friendly and the environment is very cozy. My favorite drink here is the mint condition with an extra shot of espresso.

I like to think I have good taste, so hopefully you won’t be disappointed if you take the time to check these places out.
