The Ultimate ‘Do Not Flush’ List
Actually it's quite simple according to an expert at Popular Mechanics. When it comes to what to flush down your toilet -- always follow the four Ps.
To keep our Minnesota waste water clean, healthy, and flowing -- nothing should go down the toilet except for poop, pee, puke and (toilet) paper. 😮
That means all of the rest of these items are off limits:
- Dental floss
- Feminine products
- Any wipes (even of they say FLUSH-ABLE)
- Kleenex
- Diapers
- Cotton swaps (Q-tips)
- Human hair
- Paper towels
- Facial pads/Makeup removers
- Cigarettes
- Cotton balls
- Kitty litter
- Oil, grease, or food
- Prescription & non prescription drugs
Again, remember the four Ps. (And one of them is not Pete!) Poop, pee, puke and (toilet) paper. Anything else should be off limits.
