The Minnesota Timberwolves (7-9) beat the visiting Portland Trail Blazers 112-96 Friday night at the Target Center in Minneapolis.

It was Minnesota's third straight win following the trade of Jimmy Butler to Philadelphia. The Timberwolves held Portland, who were averaging 115.9 per game, to their season low.

Andrew Wiggins led Minnesota in scoring Friday night with 23 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists. Derrick Rose added 17, and Karl Anthony Towns and Robert Covington each scored 14.

C. J. McCollum led the Pelicans with 18 points.
