Total Lunar Eclipse Coming to Minnesota Sunday Night

Sky-watchers are in for a treat this Sunday night, when a total lunar eclipse will be visible (weather permitting) across all of Minnesota.

The eclipse will begin at 8:36 pm, lasting for 5 hours and 12 minutes, before ending at 1:48 am Monday morning. The 'total' phase of the eclipse will last from 10:41 pm to 11:43 pm.

Sunday night's total lunar eclipse will be the last visible in the United States until 2022.

The weather forecast for Sunday night across central Minnesota is for mostly cloudy skies with a slight chance of snow -- so as of now, it looks like Mother Nature might block this whole thing out.
