When I read this article, I was completely floored. Just thinking about a cure for cancer could be insanely life-changing.  From my own personal standpoint, I lost my aunt Pat just over two years ago -- always praying for her to be cancer free.

Now, a virus that could possibly kill every kind of cancer. How amazing would that be?

I'm pretty sure everyone I know has been affected by cancer in some way, shape, or form. Apparently, scientists have created a new virus based on cowpox that is able to kill every known type of cancer cell. The Daily Telegraph reported a treatment called CF33, that kills every type of cancer in a petrie dish and has shrunk tumors in mice.

Surgical oncologist in California, Professor Yuman Fong, says the treatment is being created by an Australian biotech company called Imugene. This professor is doing clinical trials right now. People with triple negative breast cancer, melanoma, lung cancer, bladder, gastric and bowel cancer would be tested in this study.

Just because the treatment works in mice does not mean it will work in humans. But Professor Fong is hopeful because a series of other, more specific cancer-killing viruses are already proving effective in fighting cancer in humans. How amazing would it be for someone to finally create a treatment to kill every kind of cancer?

One of Professoer Fong's fears:

"The problem was if you made the virus toxic enough to kill cancer you were worried it would also kill man," Fong said.

This miracle treatment would give a cancer patient a virus that is expected to alert their immune system that there are cancer cells in the body and prompt it to seek out and kill other diseased cells. This would be remarkable if they could put this treatment into action and kill the cancer inside so many people affected.
