And COVID has claimed another event.  Twinsfest and Twins Caravan has been cancelled for 2021.  This is an event that a lot of people really look forward to.  It's also nice during January when most people are feeling a bit cooped up and  it's generally pretty cold outside... you can talk a bit about baseball and think about  the Summer.

This year has been horrible.  And now it's leaking into 2021.  The Midwest has been hit fairly hard with spikes in Covid  in the last few weeks. And this is much of why the decision was made to cancel the event.  There will be a virtual alternative to the caravan.  This announcement, and how that will actually work is scheduled to happen soon.

Traditionally, since 1989, Twinsfest has been the largest fundraiser for the Twins Community Fund. This is definitely going to be a tough one, but the organization  hopes that this will help slow the spread so they can have a normal season in Spring/Summer of 2021.

I guess it's time to look to the next season (hopefully a full season) and plan on the Twins Caravan and Twinsfest to come back to in-person in 2022.
