Final Touches In Place For Up In Smoke’s Big Move

One of Central Minnesota's favorite barbecue restaurants is nearly ready to reopen!

Up In Smoke Barbecue closed on December 24th, 2025 in anticipation of a move across town that took them from 2nd Street in St. Cloud to the Marketplace Mall in Waite Park near Fuji Steakhouse.

WHEN WILL UP IN SMOKE REOPEN? 

After a couple of normal, construction-related delays, Up In Smoke has posted an update to their social media pages with a big update!

"Hey everyone! We are only 2-3 weeks from opening... few more inspections and finishing setting up. We will have a hard open date after the inspections."

That's great news for barbecue lovers in Central Minnesota!

Up in Smoke's new location promises to feature more seating, breakfast a few days a week and even more menu options.

In 2025, Up In Smoke Barbecue was named the best BBQ in Minnesota and the best restaurant in St. Cloud by the Star Tribune.
