Valleyfair Brings Mini EPCOT Type Family Event to Shakopee

If you are looking for a fun family event to go to this Summer- head to Valleyfair in Shakopee beginning this weekend, July 24th through August 8th.  Grand Carnival is coming to Valleyfair with what they are calling a "larger than life cultural celebration".

What can you expect from this experience?

There will be parades, International foods, live entertainment, crafts, a royal send off towards the end of the parade, a scavenger hunt and more!  To me, it seems like this is sort of a mini Epcot Center like you would experience at Disney World in Florida.

There is a schedule of events during this two week event.  You can get the full link on the Valleyfair website. The event is included in your Valleyfair admission, but there are some add ons that you may want to do too.

Some of the add ons include a tasting event with International fare.  You will get a tasting card for six different tastings of your choice.  If you are a season passholder you get an add on for nine different tastings of your choice

You may also decide to purchase an event t-shirt.  Kind of a souvenir.  You can purchase that online prior to the event and save a couple of bucks.  A lot of the events happen in the afternoon.  So, it could be easy to bring the family and take in all of the fun activites.  You can see which activity is going on each day and the time and make sure you are where you need to be and when- make sure to check the website.  The other smaller activities are happening throughout the park during the two week event.
