The Minnesota Vikings (8-6-1) rallied to beat the Lions 27-9 this afternoon in Detroit.

The Vikes needed the Redskins and Eagles to lose this weekend to clinch a playoff spot. Washington lost to Tennessee 25-19 yesterday, but Philly beat Houston on a last second field goal 32-30 this afternoon.

The Vikings fell behind 9-0 early, before rolling off 27 unanswered points for the win -- including a last second hail-Mary pass to Kyle Rudolph at the end of the second half.

If Minnesota wins next weekend they are in the post-season. If they lose, they're gonna need some help.

Next: The Vikings host the Chicago Bears in their final regular season game at 3:25 PM CT on Sunday, December 30th at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. (TV: FOX, Radio: AM 1240 WJON)
