The Minnesota Vikings rallied from a 20 point deficit to beat the Denver Broncos and stay undefeated at home this season.

The Vikings were completely shut out in the first half of the game. Denver put up 10 points in the first quarter and another 10 in the second to take a commanding 20-0 lead at the break.

Minnesota got the ball to start the second half and made the most of it. The Vikings marched down the field and scored their first touchdown of the game to close the gap to 20-7. Denver answered with their third field goal of the day.

To start off the fourth quarter, the Vikings found the endzone again but missed a two-point conversion to cut their deficit to 23-13. On their next possession, Minnesota made it a one-score game with their third touchdown of the day.

The Broncos had the ball for the final six minutes of the game, but solid red zone defense by the Vikings gave Minnesota the 27-23 win.

Kirk Cousins completed 29 of 35 for 319 yards, three touchdowns, and five sacks. Dalvin Cook had 10 carries for 26 yards and a touchdown.

Kyle Rudolph caught five for 67 yards and a touchdown. Irv Smith Jr. tallied 20 yards,  three catches, and his first career NFL touchdown. Stefon Diggs added five catches for 121 yards and a touchdown.

Jaleel Johnson and Everson Griffen each earned a sack and Andrew Sendejo came away with Minnesota’s only interception.

The Vikings improve to 8-3 and will have a bye week before facing the Seahawks in Seattle on December 2nd.
