We've all seen trail camera footage of one, maybe two animals walking by, but this video is like an encyclopedia of Minnesota wildlife.

The epic video shared by The Voyageurs Wolf Project was recorded between June 2019 and August 2020 takes five and half hours worth of footage and distills into 15-minutes of the many animals that use this game trail in Nothern Minnesota.

The video shows wolves, moose, deer, fox, coyote, raccoons, birds and some animals that I'm not even sure what they are. But most of all, the video has a lot of black bears, so many that they call it "a black bear highway" saying, "We have never seen so many different black bears using the same area in our life!"

In the video, you can see mama bears with their cubs, bears trying to get a snack, bears rubbing their scent on the tress, and other animals stopping to smell some scent that the researchers put near the camera. It's a fascinating long into these animals in their natural habitat.

The Voyageurs Wolf Project is a University of Minnesota research project located in the Greater Voyageurs Ecosystem which encompasses an area within and around Voyageurs National Park. The main purpose of the project is to study what wolves do in the summer. They say that "wolves hunt as packs and kill large prey such as moose and deer" in the winter months but once pups are born in the spring they become solitary predators.
