WAITE PARK -- With construction of the Waite Park amphitheater moving along, city officials are looking to finalized the behind the scenes operations during Monday's city council meeting.

The city council will look to approve an Operator Agreement with New West and Mammoth to allow them to manage the national events planned for The Ledge.

The city has been working with New West and Mammoth on the project for several years and have decided to move forward with an official agreement. Due to State funding on the project, the State must also approve the agreement.

In addition, the city will also look to approve adding a Event Coordinator staff position. This person would work directly with the management company and be responsible for planning a variety of community events at The Ledge and other city facilities.

It will be a salary position with pay between $59,000-$76,000, which will partially be paid for by fees collected from the management company.

If approved the city would begin the hiring process for the position, with hopes to have it filled by January.
