Have you ever heard of the 'Golden Hour" before? As I was checking out social media this weekend, specifically Twitter, I kept running into the phrase "Golden Hour". Sheepishly I had to Google it to figure out what it meant, as it seemed like something REALLY important this time of year. So before I share the answer as to what the 'Golden Hour" is, what do you think it is referencing?

Well if you are a fan of the outdoors, and this time of year it seems that a majority of Minnesotans are, you might want to take it in during the "Golden Hour". According to Google, the phrase "Golden Hour" is referencing "The last hour before sunset and the first hour after sunrise are coveted by professional photographers. Referred to as “the golden hour” or “magic hour,” these times provide the perfect light to capture stunning photos."

During this time you'll find some of the BEST lighting to capture photos to remember a moment, but you don't need a camera or phone to enjoy the "Golden Hour" in Minnesota.

Want to participate in the "Golden Hour"? It's easy, camera or not, simply use this link to find out when the "Golden Hour" is, and get out and simply take it in, with the days growing shorter it's well worth taking some time to enjoy it while it lasts, how awesome are some of these photos from the weekend during the "Golden Hour".

Personally, I try not to live to the lens of my phone or a camera, some of the best moments I've had during the fall months with my friends and family are simply being outside and enjoying the moment. Taking those mental photos of a moment gives me a reason to go back and try to recreate those moments in time year after year, knowing that it won't be the same, but rather it is an experience worth sharing with others like friends and family.
