This was news that was mentioned yesterday, and when I heard about it, my first thought was about Kwik Trip - Competition!  I guess a little competition never hurt anyone, right?

I'm sure that you have heard of a very popular convenience store called Buc-ees.  The only reason that I have heard about it is from many posts I've seen online about how awesome it is, and from people who have experienced it themselves.  I know it's a convenience store, but apparently it's super awesome.

Anyhow, the word is that Buc-ees, which is a Southern store, is now moving into the Midwest.  Not Minnesota... yet.  But across into the border state of Wisconsin.  The first one - scheduled to open in 2027 will be in the Milwaukee area, and another planned near Madison.

Could Minnesota be next?  Possibly.  No official word on that yet.

What makes Buc-ees so great?

Just do a quick search of Buc-ees and you will see what I saw. My goodness, they have everything!  It's one of those stores that sells everything from gas to brisket to clothing and other convenience items and food and drink.  BUT the one issue is that there is no where to sit down and eat any of the food you may purchase.  You have to eat it in your car.  That could be improved.

You can check out everything Buc-ees has to offer here.  And it really is impressive.  We'll see if we get an announcement in the near future about one opening in Minnesota.  My guess is yes, soon.
