A few weeks ago we learned that the people who normally spearhead the Holidazzle and Aquatennial events in the twin ciites have opted to turn their focus to other things around the city.  They said if someone else wanted to be in charge of the events, they would be more than happy to promote them.  So far, no one has stepped up.  Hopefully someone will for the Aquatennial, which is a summer event.

Right now, the focus will now turn to an event that will last from November 28th with a kickoff event through March, with several events that tie in to Winter in general, not just focusing around the holidays.

Winterapolis is the event, and will involve several different smaller events throughout that time that will basically fulfill anyone's wish list.  And for the entire family.

Parades. Colorful Pride celebrations. Hot Chocolate Winter Runs. Improv Festivals. Pond hockey tournaments. Seasonal Beer Celebrations. There is no shortage of events happening in Minneapolis all year long. We are an extremely active community of artists, creators, musicians, foodies, dancers, runners & bikers – a community of doers that can’t stand the thought of missing out. With something always going on, we’re confident you’ll find something you won’t want to miss too.
