Your Guide to Minnesota Farmers Markets this Summer

When I was a kid, nothing sounded worse than going grocery shopping, plant shopping or visiting a farmers market.  Now, as an adult, all of those things actually can be fun... well, fun might be an exaggeration to the grocery shopping part, but finding plants and items at a farmers market can be fun and satisfying.

There are so many Farmers Markets in the area. Last year, during the pandemic that kept us all at home for the most part, I didn't notice that there were this many.  And there weren't, but this year, they are back in full swing.  Almost anywhere you travel in Minnesota, you will be able to find a Farmers Market.  And some of these are pretty extensive.  There is of course great produce, but there are also products of the produce pre-made.  Sometimes you can find jams, jellies, homemade sauces, cheeses, baked goods and other things that you might not be able to find in stores.  Some products you might even want to stock up on, because you can only find them at the Spring/Summer Farmers Markets in the area.

St  Cloud area Farmers Market open Saturdays at 8am through October.

St. Joseph Farmers Market 3-6 every Friday. You can sign up on their website to receive their newsletter too.

Becker Farmers Market Fridays through the second Friday in October from 3 to 6.

Buffalo Farmers Market every Saturday through October from 8-noon.  They also have a limited Winter market on a date in February, March and April.

Big Lake Farmers Market which runs Wednesdays from 3-7 through August, then through September with limited hours of 3-6.

There are several around the twin cities as well is you will be in that area over any of the weekends this Summer.
