Adam Thielen is a former Minnesota Viking, who is still a fan favorite because he is a native Minnesotan who continues to give back to his home state. Thielen is currently on the roster with the Carolina Panthers, recently introduced some of his current teammates to Minnesota by hosting a Wide Receiver retreat.

The Carolina Panthers website reports the three days where most of the Panthers receiving corps, and their budding star quarterback Bryce Young along with Quarterback Ethan Garbers worked out together trying to help show marked improvement in their win/loss record this season and build a deeper bond inside the locker room in Charlotte.

The team worked out at the Minnesota Health Sports Center Fairview in Woodbury, which is described as one of the largest multiuse sports facilities in the state. Part of the journey was captured on video following the Panthers first round draft pick Tetairoa McMillian.

In addition to three days of working their timing and chemistry, Thielen, who spends part of the off season in Minnesota, took the opportunity to introduce his fellow Panthers to what lake life in Minnesota looks and feels like.

There was one of his teammates that Thielen could not coax into the water and that was South Carolina Native Xavier Leggett, who has gotten some notoriety for his deep, thick southern accent, which honestly is hard for most southerners to understand. I’m from North Carolina, I should know.

During the short stay here, Thielen taught a couple of his teammates how to wake board. The group also took in a Minnesota Lynx WNBA game while in town as well.

With training camp starting soon around the league, each team will be looking for an edge to help them compete for a Super Bowl this year. The Carolina Panthers organization has credited Adam Thielen for his leadership on and off the field since his arrival in Charlotte two years ago, and even though he wears different colors now, Thielen is proving he is still making his Minnesota based fans proud.
